A fantastic game to get the Pre-season under way for the U9's took place on Wednesday night.
A reduced team for the Away team (Orford) saw them hang on tight for the first 5-10 minutes with a 0-0 scoreline.
The warm weather and the larger squad for the Home Team proved too much as the first couple of shots hit the back of the net in quick succession.
A fantastic Penalty taken by the Left Winger struck a goal for the away team as there was still a good contest to be had.
After the second half got under way, a couple more goals from the home team saw the Orford all but sunk for the game. However, head's remained high and smiles were everywhere as a second goal for Orford is pushed over the line from close range.
In the end, a slightly better team took the spoils of the day after the result was reversed last season. A great game had by all and everyone came away smiling in the end!
